Ellie Baker is an established landscape painter in the Isle of Man.
Ellie works in mixed media on paper, combining acrylic paint, ink, paint, oil pastels & coloured pencil. Textured highlights and bursts of intricate detail encourage the viewer to pause and look further at the pieces.
Ellie mostly works from memory, combining many elements from the Island's rural land and seascapes. Her work can be seen in the publication "Ellyn," a tale of Manx contemporary art produced by the Arts Council (IOM).
Ellie is currently working on a collection of new paintings, which will feature in one of the lounges on the new Isle of Man Steam Packet ferry, "Manxman," due to be in service during the Summer of 2023. Ellie has a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art from Central St Martin's College of Art & Design.
