Annie Sloan wax is available in Clear, White and Dark or Black wax.
Annie Sloan Clear wax is what you will want to use for most finishes. The dark wax will greatly darken your finished piece and is generally used sparingly to darken details to add textured tones to your project.
Can be applied with a wax brush or a lint free cloth (clean, well washed old cotton bedding is good).
Clear Wax
If applying clear wax to seal a piece, apply a good amount and cover a small area, then wipe off excess and repeat across the whole piece. Once complete allow to dry and apply a second coat for best results. If you would like a sheen on your finish, buff with a clean lint free cloth 24 hours after your final coat.
Dark Wax
Can be used to seal a whole piece but it will dramatically darken your finish. You can, however, use small amounts sparing to raise details on your piece or add darkened streaks for an ageing effect. Use sparingly, then when you are happy with your dark wax areas, seal the whole piece with clear wax to add durablity to your finished project.
